Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy is an online continuing education program that introduces the concepts and tenets of Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP), a form of experiential psychotherapy with equine assistance. Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy is 50 professional development hours and the participant earns 5.0 CEUs. An internship, research, and ethics is also available in the Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy track, which is one of four tracks in the Equine Facilitated Activities & Therapy continuing education program offered through the Continuing and Professional Studies Office at Texas A&M University.

This online continuing education program contains 13 intensive practitioner-based lessons and 9 labs providing participants with the biological basis for making decisions related to horse production management. The material presented is introductory to intermediate in nature. Content includes DVDs by L&H Branding Irons. Participants should have a general knowledge of horses and experience riding and caring for horses. This program is RACE-approved. The United States Dressage Federation (USDF) approves this course for University Credit.
This course is offered through the Continuing and Professional Studies Office (CAPSO) at Texas A&M University.
