Non profit horse adoption and rescue center in need of help. As with many people and businesses, they are having a hard time of it and may go under if they can't get some funds for the program. They are located in West Virginia, but the farm takes in horses form all states. Many of the horses are competing horses which can no longer compete, such as retired racing, jumping, and dressage horses. The stable offers a tax deduction for the owners who donate them, which helps to keep them out of the auctions for slaughter horses. This is one of the only places in WV that takes rescue horses. The money received to adopt the horses is used for vet bills, hoof care, feed, wood chips for the stalls, and the care for the farm and horses, including the ones that are given away for free. As of March 2009, there are over 20 horses on the farm and hardly any help to keep things going.
