We are an a Not For Profit 501(c)3 equine rescue. We rehabilitate, re-home, or provide sanctuary for horses that have suffered abuse or neglect or are at risk for the horse slaughter pipeline.
We provide permanent sanctuary for equines that due to age or health cannot be adopted.
Giving those equine placed in sanctuary a purpose in life by joining them with children of special needs, physical or emotional disabilities, or who are a victim of abuse/violence, including at risk youth. There is never a charge to a special needs family.
Aiming to assist each child with special needs or trauma in reaching their full potential through interaction with horses, to include self-esteem, confidence, social skills, small & gross motor skills, balance, core strength, visual planning skills, attention span, coordination, flexibility & concentration.
Providing education to the public in the benefits of having rescue horses interact with special needs, traumatized & at risk youth.

Christina Strain, LCSW/LICSW specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families with the following life experiences: anxiety disorders, depression, behavior disorders, learning disorders, divorce, and family issues. Treatment approaches include cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and family therapy.
