We have services to suit all levels and ages of horses - from the first ride under saddle to tune-ups and exercise rides for the seasoned horse. Free Rein Sporthorses' training philosophy starts from the ground up. New students learn the basics of horse care, grooming, and tacking before they begin learning to ride. Riders build on a foundation of basic skills to progress through their training goals. Horses progress through training as they are ready, producing confident mounts throughout the training process.

Here at the Free Spirit Ranch, we're pleased to offer horseback riding lessons, pony rides, horsemanship classes, and more!

We're happy to provide these services to you and your family in a relaxed, safe, fun, family atmosphere. If you're interested in learning more about horses & how to ride and maybe feel uncomfortable at large, competitive stables, we can help.

We operate a small, private horse stable in the beautiful Hamlet of Wallkill and are surrounded by the beautiful Shawgunk Mountains. We currently have five horses at our stable, three of which were horse rescues that we adopted over the years, and they all have done riding lessons, trail rides, summer camps, pony rides & kids' birthday parties. They're not just our horses... they're our family!
