We are a friendly barn dedicated to safety and the educational and fun experience with horses. Indoor arena (soft dust free footing), 2 outdoor arenas (sand and fenced), and access to miles of groomed trails and dirt roads. My passion is classical dressage, but I do a lot of western and dressage riding, teaching, training, clinics, and demos... including cowboy/western dressage. A professional FEI rider, trainer, and instructor, Ruth Hogan-Poulsen has been long-listed by the USET multiple times and has been awarded the USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals as well as the USDF Freestyle Gold Bar. Ruth is based out of East Hill Farm in Plainfield, Vermont, each year from May through November. From November to May, Ruth runs her training and teaching business from Wellington, FL. Aside from her teaching and training business, Ruth owns and operates two other companies. Dressage and Details LLC is an educational and tutorial company that produces products to help riders in all aspects of Dressage. Freestyles From A to C LLC is a company that creates, edits, composes freestyles for all levels of competitors and non competitors alike. Rhythm of the Rein is a NARHA premier accredited center serving central Vermont's and the Northeast Kingdom's special needs community. The organization employs NARHA certified instructors, a physical therapist, and a physical therapy assistant and has one of only three NARHA registered therapists in the state practicing hippotherapy. The center provides services for challenges such as autism, cerebral palsy, developmental disorders, and emotional issues. The center also has the area's only Horses For Heroes Program for veterans suffering emotional or physical trauma resulting from service during a period of armed conflict. Water Tower Farm is the center's host facility.
