Chasing Laurels is a full service horse training, boarding, and lesson facility. We provide CHA Certified Instruction and are insured by Equisure for Professional/General Liability Insurance.

Amenities include an indoor riding ring, outdoor riding ring, plenty of parking space, a family atmosphere, and much more.

Full board includes 12x12 stalls, easy pick bedding, Purina Strategy Formula Feed (fed twice a day), access to equipment (such as barrels for racing, pole bending, cavalettis, and jumping standards), etc... Other amenities available (for an additional fee) include: in-house training, working with difficult horses, lessons in several disciplines, and short haul trailering around the Des Moines area.

All lessons are customized to the individual with a general focus on establishing the rider/horse bond, harmony, developing centered riding skills, care of the horse, and following good safe horsemanship standards. We also assist riders with overcoming fears.

Born with horses and cattle. Going on 71 years young, and I have dedicated my lifetime to working with horses. I have spent time on the rodeo circuit doing calf roping, horse shows, and gymkhanas and worked on cattle/horse ranches in the USA and Canada.

We base our training on the horse's needs and abilities. We use our training method to create more harmony and unity between horse and rider.

We have been doing our seminars and clinics privately to our customers only for almost 30 years and now in this past year have decided to go public.

We are a private horse boarding, quarter horse sales, and training facility. We strive at all times to offer a comfortable environment where horses and their people can enjoy a fulfilling relationship away from the stress and hassle of everyday life!
