We provide instruction on balanced centered riding in both English and Western styles, with an emphasis on being a reactive rider and safely handling the horse in all situations. Lessons are taught in the arena and also on trails.

Horse Boarding: There is a 35 stall equestrian stable with an attached, heated indoor arena and round pen. The indoor and outdoor arenas both get groomed daily, so the footing is great.

Legacy Ridge is only a few minutes' ride from the gates to the Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area. The Cooking Lake - Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area includes 170 kms (105 miles) of maintained walking, hiking, mountain biking, equestrian, nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and dog sledding trails - so some of the best trail riding around is only moments away! Legacy Ridge is safe and secure with alarm systems and gates to keep your horse friend secure.

Riding instruction at Lehmann Stables is part of our horsemanship program. We firmly believe that rider and animal are best served with a broad orientation on all aspects of horsemanship, including grooming, safety, and care. Every 30 minutes of riding instruction is embedded in a full 60 minutes of horsemanship instruction.

Our instructors teach English (including dressage and jumping, certified at CHA level 3) and western. We accept riders of all ages and levels. Our youngest riders usually start at the age of 4.

We board horses in our mare hotel. We have a round pen, riding arena, turnout paddocks, hand-grazing green, and wash racks.
