Are your boots stuck in the mud? Hunkapi Programs, Inc. offers a wide range of services, including therapeutic riding, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and counseling. Mindfulness is at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to help folks to be their best - mind, body and spirit - through innovative and integrative approaches. We, and our four-legged healers, help people move mindfully towards their clinical, life, or leadership goals and connect mindfully to the people in their life who matter most.
Our therapeutic philosophy is to help you move forward by interacting with our "herd," which consists of three simple elements: a horse, a licensed therapist, and you. By changing your actions in the arena today, you will improve your reactions, relationships, and life tomorrow. Family, group, and individual sessions available.
Equine Assisted Therapy programs utilize interactive activities with horses during each session to help you work on your therapeutic goals. Focus is placed on: building healthy relationships and connecting with others; regulating thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; identifying strengths; learning how to say what you mean and mean what you say.
