Legacy Riding Stables is located in beautiful Capik Nature Preserve in Sayreville, NJ, and offers guided trail rides in 500 acres of wooded trails. Pony rides available to children of all ages. Western and English private and group lessons are available. Parties on site and at your location are another service offered by Legacy Riding Stables. We have spring and summer camp programs. We offer Scout and other group special riding and equestrian education programs. Our horses and location have been featured in film and photography shoots.

Riding instruction at Lehmann Stables is part of our horsemanship program. We firmly believe that rider and animal are best served with a broad orientation on all aspects of horsemanship, including grooming, safety, and care. Every 30 minutes of riding instruction is embedded in a full 60 minutes of horsemanship instruction.

Our instructors teach English (including dressage and jumping, certified at CHA level 3) and western. We accept riders of all ages and levels. Our youngest riders usually start at the age of 4.

We board horses in our mare hotel. We have a round pen, riding arena, turnout paddocks, hand-grazing green, and wash racks.

We are a little ranch in Vilna, Alberta. For about 4 years, we've been rescuing horses that have been mistreated, neglected, left on their own, misfed, or simply that were never handled. We also receive horses that are green, which means that they were never handled; therefore, they received no regular care like deworming, trims, etc. We give them the time that they need to trust and respect humans. Afterward, when the horse is ready to leave, we choose a proper household which has been selected with specific criteria. All of our clients have to sign a adoption contract that makes sure that the animal will be taken care of.
