Boarding, lesson, and training facility that accepts retirement horses as boarders. 32 acres located near the horse mecca of North Carolina. Recognized as a United States Pony Club Riding Center. Retirement horses get full care and a stall for inclement weather, and are brought in and looked over 2 times a day when fed. All basic needs taken care of - can be included in board, including brushing and clipping. Lots of clients (kids) on the property to properly spoil any horse who loves attention. Optional light rides available for the horse who pines away from no work. (Your option of light rides for kids in lessons or ridden by working students). Single or group turnout available. All our horses are happy and well taken care of. Vet on property once a week to look at all horses. Can give veterinarian reference if needed. We believe that you will not be disappointed by the care your horse will receive!

Full Care Horse Boarding

Why keep your equine buddy locked in a stall when they can be turned out daily to be a horse with other horse friends? We offer full care boarding with daily open pasture turnout that allows every horse to interact as a herd - like horses are supposed to. Whiterail has openings for full time boarders as well as overnight travelers. Located in Clatsop County near Astoria and Seaside only minutes from the beach and the beautiful trails of Fort Stevens State Park.

Whiterail is a family owned full care facility in Gearhart, Oregon. We offer a secure barn - owners live on premises and provide all care.

Relaxed atmosphere and quiet environment for you and your horses.

$325 a month includes:

- Grass hay twice a day (plus pasture grazing)
- Grain and beet pulp once a day (additional supplementation available as owner provides)
- 12x12 matted stalls with pelleted bedding and daily cleaning
- Cross ties with mats
- Large locking tack room
- Daily herd turn out in large pastures (shelter provided on rainy days)
- Separate pasture for geriatrics and/or mare & foal pairs
- Large 80' x 200' indoor arena with round pen
- Horse trailer parking (as room allows)

Also available:

- Local Equine Massage Therapist - Jessamyn Grace West
- Barefoot trimming and shoe removal
- Veterinary care through local large animal veterinarian

Every horse gets individual attention. Their health and well-being are paramount. For the safety of the horses, we are a barefoot barn. Stop by for a visit any time.
