Our areas of interest include calf roping, team roping, barrel racing, and western riding just for fun! We have a beautiful new barn, peaceful trails, lighted arena, wash rack, air conditioned tack room, an automatic fly spray system, and a wired smoke alarm. Shannon and his family live on the premises. We can teach you how to stay on a horse or how to compete at a rodeo level - whatever your wishes. He offers a free first evaluation for training or lessons. We also offer trailer hookup, boarding by the night or month, hauling, Tex Tan tack, and just about anything else you might need for your western horse. Bring your horse out on Tuesday nights for free ride night 6-8 pm.

We firmly believe that rider and animal are best served with a broad orientation on all aspects of horsemanship, including grooming, safety, and care. Every 30 minutes of riding instruction is embedded in a full 60 minutes of horsemanship instruction.
Our instructors teach English (including dressage and jumping, certified at CHA level 3) and western. We accept riders of all ages and levels. Our youngest riders usually start at the age of 4.
We board horses in our mare hotel. We have a round pen, riding arena, turnout paddocks, hand-grazing green, and wash racks.

Surrounded by mature hardwood forests, flowing streams, opulent fields, and rolling hills, LCEC is nestled in the historic Flint Ridge area of Licking County. Utilize our open fields and wooded acreage for trail riding or take a short trip down the road to Taft Reserve. School your horse in our lighted outdoor arena when the weather is nice or minimize distractions by riding in our fully-enclosed indoor arena. When finished, you can cool your horse down at our outdoor wash station and then take a break in our heated kitchen area. Nurture relationships with other beginner, novice, and expert riders through our social events and organized activities. Private and semi-private lessons are offered for adults and young riders alike by our qualified and passionate on-site trainers.
