In a small town not far from Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Ellicottville, and the Finger Lakes in Western New York (NY) lies one of New York State's best horseback riding stables on 112 acres of what we like to call a "Sanctuary for Horse and Rider". Year round riding lessons, horseback riding camps: summer day camps and children's summer horse riding (overnight) camps, vacation riding retreats, and pony birthday parties. We can take whatever event or riding vacation you were planning and turn it into a memory you'll never forget. Teaching classical horsemanship principles in dressage, saddleseat, English riding, western riding, hunter, natural horsemanship, trail riding, and jumping over fences, we at Rosebud strive for riders and horses who are relaxed, confident, and happy in their endeavors. We welcome horseback riders of all levels - whether you are an experienced competitive rider, recreational rider, or a beginner rider who so far has only been able to dream about being on a horse. We offer riding lessons in English or Western for all skill levels, horse boarding, and horse training. We are certified Equine Assisted Learning instructors, 4-H leaders, and certified Mark Bolender Mt. Trail judges. There is a practice trail course on 2 acres with instruction available. We have an indoor arena 96'x150' with hourly rental. Cattle lessons with the flag or live animals are also available. The in-house trainer, Lisa Thonney, has been a judge for 30+ years and does all lessons, group or private.
