Pencwarre Ponies was established in 2009 by Lisa Parry and Chris Thomas breeding section B Welsh Ponies.

The location of Pencwarre ponies is in Llandygwydd within Ceredigion, which is near the beautiful Teifi River. Pencwarre is a traditional mixed working farm with breath-taking views.

The stud has been inspired by the quality of section B's in the area. Those to mention are the Weston Stud, Downland, Cadlan Valley, and Eyarth Stud. We wanted to produce ponies bred by ourselves to show in hand, under saddle, and in dressage, as well as for riding ponies. The breeding itself has been popular, and ponies have been exported to various countries. This type of bloodline has proven to go on and be very successful. The breeding allows us to provide ourselves and others with quality ponies that consists of character and substance.
