Happy Hoof Summer Day Camps begin in June 2011. We have wonderful horses, a creek and a forest, a nice indoor ring, and trails. Each day at camp will begin with the horses and end with academic learning in a fun environment, including professional demonstrations of hoof trimming and saddle fitting.

The schedule is:
Monday through Wednesday: 9:30 to 3:30
Thursday: 11:00 to 7:00, with a BBQ at 5:00 for campers and their families.

$275 per week (rate as of May 2011).

Happy Hooves Stables is located in Lumberton, New Jersey, near Moorestown, Mount Laurel, Marlton, Voorhees, and Mt. Holly. Life sometimes has a way of leaving you feeling anxious, rushed, and stressed. As most people who own a horse know, there is no better way to refresh yourself than by taking a ride through nature. It gives you a moment to escape life's expectations and worries and brings a deep sense of relaxation.

Unfortunately, not everybody is able to have this soul-awakening experience. Owning a horse require lots of time, money, commitment, and responsibility.

I believe that trail-riding is therapeutic and has wonderful benefits for everyone - not just those fortunate enough to own a horse. Because of this, in 2009, I began offering guided horseback trail-rides to the general public.

You don't need any experience with horses to get involved - the only requirement is an open mind! Before venturing onto the trail, you will be taught basic horsemanship lessons in a small fenced area. During this time, you will meet your horse and be fitted with riding gear to ensure your safety.

Things to remember before your ride:
- Wear closed-toe shoes with a heel (.5" to 1.5")
- Horses can read your body language quickly - remember to stay relaxed
- Wear clothing that moves with your body
- You will be asked to sign a liability release before entering the barn
