Founded in 2008, Blue Ribbon Farm & Academy has lesson programs at every level - children starting at age 3, recreational riders, and seasoned competitors in dressage, jumping & equitation – plus camps, clinics, and shows. Our 14 academy horses come in all sizes and shapes, for every ability and riding discipline. We offer boarding, leasing, training, and horses for sale.

Located on 30 scenic acres in northern Dutchess County, our facilities include a 2-aisle barn with a wash stall and tack room, an attached mold- and dust-free indoor ring, a 100' x 200' outdoor arena, grass fields, and access to trails. Stalls have heated water buckets, soft mats, and ample bedding.

Owner/trainer Amy von Scholz has a BA in Equine Studies & Business from Centenary College. Her extensive experience includes working as a groom, instructor, rider, barn manager, and riding school director; studying under top trainers and apprenticing to Olympic and Grand Prix riders. She has earned Horse of the Year titles, regional championships, and performance awards. An active dressage judge, Amy is a USDF "L" with distinction and is enrolled in the USDF Trainer Certification program.

Boone Creek Farm offers hunter/jumper riding lessons to children and adults. We give lessons in the evenings Monday-Friday and Saturday mornings as well as to homeschooled children in the afternoons.

We have Saturday horse camps during spring and fall and week long summer horseback riding camps. Horse boarding is available too. We have a large indoor and an outdoor arena to ride in.

BraveHearts Therapeutic Riding & Educational Center serves students with emotional, mental, and physical challenges.

Recreational Therapy: Students of any age are invited to participate in: horticulture, music, leisure activity skills, fishing, and various other activities under the supervision of a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.

Therapeutic Riding Program: Students can begin our therapeutic riding program at five years of age. Depending on skill level, students will learn skills for independent horseback riding as well as enjoy fun activities while on horseback. Benefits include: improved strength and balance, increased self esteem, and improved cognition.

Therapeutic Carriage Driving Program: Anyone interested in an alternative riding may be interested in Therapeutic Driving. The minimum requirements are over 5 feet tall or the ability to sit upright unassisted. Students will learn how to drive a single horse in a 2-wheel and 4-wheel vehicle.

We offer private riding lessons on safe lesson horses. Each lesson you get to brush the horse and learn how to tack and untack your horse. I teach basic horse care and how to understand the horse while you're riding. Our horse camp is a one week day camp with lots of riding, games, and fun learning!!!
