Half Halt Stables is a full service dressage training and show barn. Our specialty is full service dressage training to Grand Prix. Susanne Benne, a German riding master and international trainer, is owner and lead trainer. We are located in central Florida, near Wellington and Ocala. We have 30 roomy stalls, with automatic waterers and fans in all stalls. Half Halt has hot/cold wash racks and ample pasture turnout on our 14 acre facility for all horses. In addition, we have two regulation dressage arenas with professional footing; one of these arenas is covered. With our friendly and professional staff, you learn to ride better in a better environment.

There is a barn manager on site. We have a dressage trainer based at Rosehill who starts young horses, trains horses, and offers lessons in dressage. We have an 80x200 covered arena and a lighted dressage arena. We are located on Prospect Road, just 2.9 miles south of Rte. 200 off of Rocky River Road.

Four years of practical, collegiate experience from CA State Polytechnic Univ, Pomona, California – Kellogg Arabian Horse Unit. Under the direction of Norm Dunn (2 term I.A.H.A. President), I worked with many aspects of the horse in a "hands on" method, as well as in a "text book", educational setting.
Education: Two B.S. degrees in the field of Recreation. One in the "Outdoor" and one in the "Community" option. December '87 graduation with a minor in "Equine" from California State Polytechnic University.
Successfully completed my semester internship in my own training/showing business.

Megan and her horse 'No Doubt' competed successfully at Dressage at Devon in 2007. They placed 11th in the I-1 and qualified for the Freestyle. They were also WDCTA’s Grand Champions at PSG & I-1 levels.
